Cabin Safety Experience Exchange Visit

Chengdu, June 12-14 2018

The EU-China Aviation Partnership Project (APP) successfully concluded a cabin safety operations experience exchange activity in Chengdu, China. A wide range of topics was presented and discussed by cabin safety experts.

More than 40 participants discussed the challenges, operational requirements and implementation issues related to cabin safety operations and validation methods as well as practical examples on cabin safety management.

Presentations were delivered by representatives of CAAC, the EU-China APP, the Slovenian Civil Aviation Agency, Air France, Finnair, Adria Airways, Tibet Airlines, Air China Southwest Branch, Chengdu Airlines and Sichuan Airlines.

Participation of regulators and industry representatives provided for an excellent exchange of experience and best practices. The activity facilitated an exchange of information on many topics, such as: cabin safety management policy, cabin crew training, regulatory frameworks and oversight of cabin safety operations. The Slovenian Civil Aviation Agency shared their experience on how cabin safety regulations is applied including oversight of operators, ramp inspection of cabin safety related aspects.
