The EU-China Aviation Partnership Project (APP) successfully concluded a workshop on drones encompassing a wide range of topics covered by experts from both European and Chinese side. The activity provided an opportunity to exchange information on the regulatory framework for drones in China, the European UAS regulatory framework, the European ATM Master Plan, the technical exploration of industrial application, the French civil drone council urban logistics UAV roadmap, the safe accommodation of drone operations in Germany including both current and future projects, the Airbus commercial drones, the Apian World, the Airbus’ Skyways project, the civil drone councils and federating national activities in Europe, the U-space, etc. A visit to DJI and Huawei also took place.

In the presence of more than 80 participants the speakers from EASA, CAAC, SESAR Joint Undertaking, Eurocontrol, Airbus, XAG, E-watt, Thales, DFS, Ehang, ASN, TopxGun, UVSI, China Mobile, Huawei, Leonardo and Qianxun SI discussed the challenges and operational requirements related to drones as well as practical examples on the safety related with drones operations.
