The EU-China Aviation Partnership Project organised another online workshop in cooperation with EUROCONTROL and the Air Traffic Management Bureau (ATMB) of CAAC on 15 and 16 September, discussing ATM performance management monitoring by the network manager. Over 200 participants convened to exchange on best practices in Europe and China. 

Over the course of two days, EUROCONTROL and ATMB presented on topics such as their respective existing performance management monitoring tools, operations drivers and constraints, and ATM’s contribution to flight efficiency. The workshop was concluded by an overview of performance management KPI research, provided by the Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics (NUAA).

The event was a successful exchange that gave participants a better understanding of the different ATM performance indicators used in both Europe and China. Many took the opportunity to ask the presenters questions, giving further evidence to the interest in deepening knowledge in effective performance monitoring systems and the valuable insights that the experts had to offer.
