The annual APP Steering Committee Meeting brought together the leaders from EASA and CAAC including Executive Director Patrick Ky and Deputy Administrator Li Jian. As the project was closing its first year, this was an opportunity to overview the first achievements and discussed up to 15 activities proposed for implementation between May -December 2017.

A Letter of Intent was signed between the leadership of the two organisation to further strengthen cooperation.

New activities for 2017 include:

• Airworthiness: Engine certification and validation workshop

• HEMS: Helicopter flight standards and safety promotion

• Safety promotion: Accident incident investigation workshop

• Airports: Safety management for prevention of runway incursions

• ATM: CNS technology implementation – experience exchange in Europe

• Economic: Slot allocation workshop
